Legendary actor Kamal Haasan’s highly-anticipated vigilante drama, Indian 2, released in cinemas worldwide yesterday. The Shankar directorial collected over Rs 58 crore gross globally and registered the third biggest opening for Indian films released in 2024 so far.
Star Kollywood filmmaker and Kamal’s ardent fan, Lokesh Kanagaraj, took to X this evening and heaped praise for his favorite actor. “Indian2 is proof of our #Ulaganayagan @ikamalhaasan sir’s commitment to his craft,” tweeted Lokesh, who delivered the biggest grosser in Kamal’s career with Vikram. True to Lokesh’s words, Kamal wowed everyone with his dedication to performing stunts, painstakingly getting the make-up on for hours, and, of course, his unmatchable performance.
Lokesh went on to laud Shankar for bringing grand visions to life on a massive scale. He also termed Anirudh Ravichander’s background score as “scintillating.” Lokesh ended his tweet by saying that he cannot wait for Indian 3.
