Kalyan Priyadarshan’s superhero film Lokah has scripted history by emerging as the all-time top grosser of Mollywood. Directed by Dominic Arun, the film has so far earned Rs. 275 crore gross at the worldwide box office. Mohanlal’s Thudarum is currently the all-time biggest earner at the Kerala box office and was the first film to surpass the Rs. 100 crore mark in the state.
Lokah is now chasing this mammoth record as well, holding strong and collecting over Rs. 1 crore on its fourth Monday. The film has collected Rs. 105 crore gross in Kerala to date and will soon emerge as the No. 1 grosser in the state.
Producer Dulquer Salmaan has already stated that the film will not be available on OTT anytime soon, and this smart move is expected to bring more footfalls. At this pace, Lokah looks set to become the first Malayalam film to earn Rs. 300 crore gross.
