Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra, the Mollywood superhero film that created a storm at the box office, is now out on OTT. The movie, headlined by Kalyani Priyadarshan with Naslen in another key role, hit theaters on August 28, 2025. Written and directed by Dominic Arun, the film marked a first-of-its-kind moment for Malayalam cinema, introducing its first female superhero.
The movie started small but gradually caught fire, winning over audiences and breaking several big records. By the end of its run, Lokah had turned into a massive industry hit, rewriting Mollywood’s box office history.
Now, the blockbuster is streaming on Jio Hotstar, available in Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, and Marathi. This digital release gives a wider audience the chance to experience the epic spectacle once again.
Whether Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra will recreate the same theatrical magic on OTT is something fans are eagerly waiting to see.
The film, released as Kotha Lokah in Telugu, also stars Sandy Master, Tovino Thomas, Sunny Wayne, Mammootty, Dulquer Salmaan, and more. Produced under Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films with a budget of around Rs. 30 crore, Lokah went on to earn over Rs. 300 crore worldwide. The music is by Jakes Bejoy.
