Karthi, who tries something different with every film, recently delivered a dud in the form of Japan. He is currently engaged in the shoot of Vaa Vaathiyaare, which is being directed by Nalan Kumaraswamy. The actor’s spy action entertainer Sardar, directed by PS Mithran, was a big hit at the box office. The sequel to this movie was announced in 2023, and it will go on floors this year.
As per the latest information, Leo’s co-writer Rathnakumar, who also directed a few movies, will work with PS Mithran on the Sardar 2 script. Rathnakumar was supposed to direct a film under the production of Lokesh Kanagaraj.
As that project is getting delayed, Rathnakumar is said to have shifted his focus to other movies. Yuvan Shankar is replacing GV Prakash Kumar as the music composer for this sequel. Prince Pictures will bankroll Sardar 2.
