Nearly 37 years after the release of the iconic gangster drama, Nayagan, legendary Kollywood actor and filmmaker Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam have joined forces for Thug Life. This high-budget action drama is currently in production and has wrapped up half of its shoot so far.
Kamal Haasan’s production house, Raaj Kamal International, took to its official X handle tonight and tweeted, “The vocal journey of @SilambarasanTR_ has commenced.” A picture of Simbu dubbing for his part in Thug Life was also shared in the tweet. It’s well known that Kamal Haasan had wrapped up dubbing for his portions recently.
Thug Life’s next schedule will commence on August 5. The film also features Trisha, Bollywood actors Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, and Sanya Malhotra, Ashok Selvan, Joju George, Nassar, Abhirami, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and several other prominent actors in pivotal roles. Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman is composing the music.
