It has been more than a year and a half since Akhil Akkineni’s Agent was released. The disastrous response to the movie motivated him to come back stronger and score a massive hit. Since then, he has appeared at very few events, often flaunting his fully grown hair, leading many to believe it is related to his next unannounced project.
However, social media is abuzz with rumours that he will be playing the lead in a period drama. Rumour has it that his father and actor Nagarjuna will produce the movie under the Annapurna Studios banner on a grand scale. Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha fame Murali Kishore is rumoured to be the director, though this has yet to be confirmed. The script work is reportedly finished.
Meanwhile, for months, rumours have swirled that Akhil Akkineni’s next project is with debutant director Anil Kumar under the UV Creations banner. Akkineni fans are eagerly awaiting clarification from the actor. In other news, movie buffs are still waiting for Agent to arrive on OTT.
