Legendary Telugu actor Kota Srinivasa Rao passed away today at the age of 83 in Hyderabad due to age-related illness. With a career spanning over 750 films, he was one of Indian cinema’s most respected and versatile performers.
While his last released film was Kabzaa (2023), his final on-screen appearance will be in the upcoming Telugu epic Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 – Sword vs Spirit, starring Pawan Kalyan. This marks a meaningful full circle, as his first film Pranam Khareedu also featured Chiranjeevi, making both Mega brothers part of his career’s beginning and end.
Several film personalities, including Brahmanandam and Babu Mohan, paid their respects at his residence, visibly shaken by the loss. Kota garu’s legacy will live on, and fans now await one last glimpse of him on the big screen in HHVM.
