The heart-wrenching stampede at Tamil star and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party President Thalapathy Vijay’s election rally in Tamil Nadu’s Karur has claimed the lives of 41 people and left many injured. The unfortunate incident has sent shockwaves across the country.
Three days after the incident, Thalapathy Vijay released a video message expressing his sorrow. He said that the incident should not have happened and hoped to visit Karur and meet the survivors soon. Thalapathy Vijay stated, “I have never faced such a painful situation in my life. The reason so many people came to see me on this tour is the love and affection they have for me. I am indebted to them.”
Thalapathy Vijay further questioned the Stalin government about the FIR on TV leaders. “People are watching everything. The truth will come out. CM sir, if you want to take revenge, do whatever you can, but do not touch them. I will either be at home or in the office,” the actor turned politician said.
