The Tamil blockbuster Meiyazhagan was released in theaters last Friday, with its Telugu version, Satyam Sundaram, hitting screens the next day to positive reviews. Directed by C. Prem Kumar, the film has been well-received for its heartfelt story.
During the success meet for the Telugu version, Karthi, one of the lead actors, admitted that he wasn’t confident about the film’s reception at first and even contemplated releasing the Telugu version directly on OTT. However, Asian Suniel garu assured him that the Telugu audience would embrace the film, which turned out to be true as it garnered a good response.
Recently, the movie was trimmed by 18 minutes following audience feedback. Arvind Swamy plays another lead role, with Sri Divya, Raj Kiran, and others in supporting roles. Produced by Jyotika and Suriya under the 2D Entertainment banner, the film’s music is composed by Govind Vasantha.
