National Award-winning Sandalwood star Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 had a phenomenal day 3 at the worldwide box office. The film displayed a sensational hold in almost all the regions, including overseas, and collected over Rs 81 crore gross, which is on par with the opening day’s collection of Rs 89 crore.
Kantara Chapter 1 amassed a whopping Rs 60.25 crore plus gross at the domestic box office, while the overseas market contributed over Rs 16 crore gross. While the Kannada version collected a solid Rs 16.5 crore gross, the Hindi version picked up pace and collected Rs 21.60 crore. On the other hand, the Telugu (Rs 11.9 Cr), Tamil (Rs 5.70 Cr), and Malayalam (Rs 4.50 Cr) contributed to the massive collection.
Within its three-day theatrical journey, Kantara Chapter 1 entered the coveted Rs 200 crore club by amassing a solid Rs 232 crore gross. The film is all set to storm into the Rs 300 crore club by Sunday night. Also starring young beauty Rukmini Vasanth and Gulshan Devaiah in lead roles, Kantara Chapter 1 is produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the Hombale Films banner.
