The much-anticipated theatrical trailer of Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 has finally been released, and it is being lauded for its technical aspects. Directed and spearheaded by Rishab Shetty, the action drama is scheduled for a grand release on October 2, 2025, in multiple languages.
Kantara Chapter 1 wrapped up its censor formalities with a U/A 16+ certificate. The approved runtime by CBFC is 168 minutes (2 hours and 48 minutes). Though the duration is lengthy, if Rishab Shetty’s screenplay is interesting, the runtime won’t be an issue.
Rukmini Vasanth plays the leading lady, while Gulshan Devaiah essays the antagonist. Jayaram, Rakesh Poojari, and others play supporting roles. Produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films, the movie blends mythology and folklore. Ajaneesh Loknath is the music director.
