AP Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan showed his big heart by permitting ticket rate hikes for Kannada film Kantara: Chapter 1, despite Telugu films facing several obstacles in Karnataka lately. Today, the AP government issued a G.O. allowing a paid premiere show for Kantara on October 31st at 10:00 PM.

As per the order, ticket prices in single screens are increased by Rs. 75/- plus GST, while the hike is Rs. 100/- plus GST in multiplexes. The revised fares are Rs. 236/- in single screens and Rs. 295/- in plexes. The enhanced rates are also applicable for tomorrow’s premiere shows and will be in effect till October 11.

On the other hand, the Telangana government rejected the hikes for the Rishab Shetty starrer, similar to how it denied hikes for Coolie and War 2, as all these fall under the dubbing films category. There is still no clarity on the premiere show timings in Telangana.
