Kantara: Chapter 1, headlined and directed by Rishab Shetty, is running successfully in theatres. The action drama surpassed the Rs. 350 crore gross mark globally and is set to have a strong run till the Diwali season. A few clips from theatres have been going viral, where some people were seen imitating Daiva characters from the film.
Netizens felt that some are doing it on purpose to gain attention. Kantara’s production house, Hombale Films, is visibly not happy with the occurrence of such events. They issued a press note urging people not to imitate, mimic, or trivialize the Daiva personas in cinema halls and public places.
“Daiva worship is rooted in deep spiritual tradition and is not intended for performance or casual mimicry,” emphasized the makers. The film also features Gulshan Devaiah, Rukmini Vasanth, and Jayaram in crucial roles. Ajaneesh Loknath composed the tunes.
