Thug Life is all set to hit the screens on June 5, and there is strong buzz around the film, thanks to the impactful trailer cut by the makers.

However, comments made by Kamal Haasan regarding the Kannada-Tamil divide have not gone down well with many, and the star actor is now under scrutiny.

Some groups in Karnataka are calling for a ban on the film, while others are demanding an apology from Kamal. But, knowing Kamal Haasan, it’s unlikely that any such apology will be forthcoming.

Directed by Mani Ratnam, the film stars Simbu and Trisha in the lead roles, with Nasser and Ashok Selvan also appearing in key roles in this action drama.
