The nation is eagerly awaiting the release of the highly anticipated PAN-Indian film Kalki 2898 AD, starring the renowned Prabhas. Directed by the visionary Nag Ashwin, this mytho sci-fi epic also stars Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwatthama.
Advance sales for Kalki have opened in the USA, and the early bookings demonstrate Prabhas’s unparalleled craze. Pre-sales have already surpassed $300,000, even without the release of a trailer. Trade experts predict that the film will earn $2 million from premieres alone. The trailer will be released on June 10th.
Deepika Padukone played the female lead, while legendary Kamal Haasan essayed a cameo. Another Bollywood actress, Disha Patani, is also part of this tent-pole film, which is being produced by Ashwini Dutt under Vyjayanthi Movies. Santosh Narayanan composed the tunes. The film opens in cinemas on June 27th.
