Kaantha, starring Dulquer Salmaan, opened in theatres on November 14, 2025, but the film didn’t make much noise at the box office. The movie is directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, and it also introduces Bhagyashri Borse to Tamil cinema.
The film is now ready to enter the OTT space. Buzz in industry circles suggests that Netflix is planning to stream Kaantha from December 12, 2025. It’s expected to be available in Tamil, Telugu and a few other Indian languages. The platform is yet to put out an official confirmation, but the date is doing the rounds.
Samuthirakani appears in an important role, while Rana Daggubati plays a police officer in the film. Ravindra Vijay, Gayathrie and a few others round out the supporting cast.
Dulquer Salmaan and Rana Daggubati have produced the movie, with the music handled by Jhanu Chanthar and Jakes Bejoy. Stay tuned for more interesting updates on OTT releases.
