In the latest episode of the Vintage Vyjayanthi series, the makers at the reputed Tollywood production house, Vyjayanthi Movies, today released the latest AV. Featuring Jagapathi Babu’s voice-over, the AV reveals the interesting story behind Ashwini Dutt and Jagapathi Babu’s 1994 blockbuster, Subha Lagnam.
Jagapathi Babu reveals that Ashwini Dutt had suffered a huge loss with Govinda Govinda in 1993. When no filmmaker was ready to collaborate with him, it was then successful director SV Krishna Reddy who told the veteran producer that he is ready to make a film under his banner. They roped in Jagapathi Babu to play the male lead and that’s how Subha Lagnam happened and went on to become a super hit.
