Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan is gearing up for the 17th season of his iconic quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati. According to reports, he has now emerged as the highest-paid television host in India with this new season.
According to a report in Siasat, Amitabh Bachchan is reportedly charging a whopping Rs. 5 crores per episode, amounting to Rs. 25 crores for just one week (5 episodes). Previously, Salman Khan charged Rs. 24 crores for the Weekend Ka Vaar episodes of Bigg Boss OTT. If the latest reports are accurate, Big B has now surpassed Salman to become India’s highest-paid television host.
Amitabh Bachchan has been the face of Kaun Banega Crorepati since its inception in 2000, except for the third season, which was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan. Given his longstanding association with the show, his high remuneration seems well justified. The senior actor was last seen in Superstar Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan, a film that focused on fake encounters.
