One of the most awaited sequels from Tollywood this year is Akhanda 2: Thandavam, starring Padma Bhushan awardee Nandamuri Balakrishna. Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, the film is shaping up to be a major milestone in Balakrishna’s career and has generated massive anticipation among fans.
A new gossip about the film’s teaser is creating buzz on social media. According to circulating rumours, the teaser has been completed and runs for about 110 seconds. It is also said that Balakrishna finished dubbing for both the Telugu and Hindi versions before flying to Georgia for the climax shooting.
The teaser is reportedly scheduled to be released on Balakrishna’s birthday, June 10, 2025, as a special treat for fans.
Meanwhile, there is speculation that the film’s release may be postponed to Pongal 2026, instead of the previously announced date of September 25, 2025. Reports suggest this move is being considered because Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG might also be aiming for a release on the same date. However, an official confirmation is still awaited.
Coming back to Akhanda 2, the film features Pragya Jaiswal, Samyuktha, and several other notable actors in prominent roles. It is being produced by Raam Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner. Thaman is the composer of this film’s music.
