Amid escalations between India and Pakistan, actor Kamal Haasan has postponed the audio launch event of his upcoming film Thug Life, which was initially scheduled for May 16 in Chennai. The legendary actor issued a statement titled, “Art can wait. India comes first.”

Kamal Haasan mentioned, “As our soldiers stand firm on the frontlines with unflinching courage in the defence of the motherland, I believe it is a time for quiet solidarity, not celebration. A new date will be announced at a later, more appropriate time. At this time, our thoughts are with the brave men and women of the armed forces, who stand vigilant, safeguarding our nation.”

After three decades, Kamal Haasan and the legendary Mani Ratnam have joined hands for Thug Life. The movie also stars Simbu, Trisha, Ashok Selvan, Sanya Malhotra, Pankaj Tripathi, Nassar, Abhirami, and others in important roles. The biggie is set to hit the screens on June 5, 2025. AR Rahman is the music composer.
