Mazaka makers’ outrageous decision to give ‘People’s Star’ moniker to the film’s hero Sundeep Kishan received severe flak from movie lovers and industrywallahs. People’s Star has been the title for the veteran actor-filmmaker R Narayana Murthy for decades, and Sundeep’s audacity to snatch the title miffed everyone.
It looks like the criticism around the People’s Star title has reached Sundeep and Mazaka makers. Interacting with the media during the Mazaka trailer launch event earlier today, Sundeep said that he didn’t know that People’s Star was R Narayana Murthy sir’s title.
“I know how passionate R Narayana Murthy sir is about people’s issues and how he interacts with everyone. The People’s Star title was given to me by Mazaka makers, and we are already in the process of doing the right thing,” said Sundeep, hinting that he will no longer use the People’s Star title.
Mazaka, also starring Ritu Varma and Manmadhudu fame Anshu in lead roles, is being directed by Trinadha Rao Nakkina and produced jointly by Razesh Danda and Umesh KR Bansal under the AK Entertainment, Hasya Movies, and Zee Studios banners. Leo James is the film’s music composer.
