With the patriotic romantic drama Thandel, Naga Chaitanya achieved his career biggest hit. The movie grossed over Rs. 100 crores and gave a huge sigh of relief to the Akkineni actor who was going through a bad phase. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film features Sai Pallavi as the female lead. Devi Sri Prasad’s soulful music played a vital role in the film’s success.

The latest update reveals that Thandel is all set for a grand Hindi television premiere this Sunday, June 15, exclusively on Sony Max. The movie is based on the lives of fishermen hailing from a small village near Vizag, who unfortunately entered Pakistani waters while fishing in Gujarat.

The Pakistani navy took the fishermen into custody, and they were held captive for nearly two years in Karachi jail. Produced by Bunny Vas and presented by Allu Aravind under the Geetha Arts banner, the film also features Aadukalam Naren, Jabardasth Mahesh, Prakash Belwadi, Karunakaran, and Divya Pillai in crucial roles.
