Music director turned actor Vijay Antony was recently seen in the crime thriller Maargan, directed by debutant Leo John Paul. The Tamil version performed decently in theatres, but the Telugu version didn’t leave much impact. Maargan’s Tamil and Telugu versions recently arrived on Prime Video and fetched a good response.
The Hindi dubbed version premiered on Jio Hotstar. According to a recent report by Ormax, Maargan (Hindi) is the third most-watched film for the last week in India, i.e., August 25 to August 31, amassing a solid viewership of 2.2 million views, competing with the new titles like Kingdom, Thalaivan Thalaivii, and Maa.
Maargan, which also carries a neat social message, has found acceptance in the digital space and is expected to gain more traction in the coming days, too. Ajay Dhishan, Samuthirakani, Brigida, Deepshikha, Mahanathi Shankar, and others played prominent roles. Vijay Antony has also composed the film’s music. Fatima Vijay Antony bankrolled it.
