After several years of a long, painstaking wait and countless postponements, leading Tollywood star Pawan Kalyan’s highly anticipated pan-India historical action drama, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, finally hit theaters worldwide a few hours ago. Needless to say, Pawan Kalyan fans are over the moon to witness their favorite star on the big screen after more than two years.
Owing to the humongous hype and expectations after Pawan Kalyan’s last-minute promotional blitzkrieg, Hari Hara Veera Mallu opened on a huge note with the Wednesday night premieres across the world. The film narrowly missing the premiere record set by Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule is a testimony to Pawan’s star power.
As per the latest trade updates, Hari Hara Veera Mallu amassed a whopping Rs 12.95 crore with 74 percent occupancy and premiere 737 shows across India. To compare, Pushpa 2 collected a premiere gross of Rs 14.44 crore, thanks to the huge craze for the sequel.
Meanwhile, the initial reports after the premiere shows have been largely mixed, and it will be interesting to see how Hari Hara Veera Mallu picks up pace and performs over the weekend. Stay tuned for further updates.
