It’s been almost three years since Adivi Sesh appeared on the big screen as a lead, and now he’s working on two much-awaited films – Dacoit: A Love Story and G2 (Goodachari 2).
The recent announcement of Mrunal Thakur stepping in as the female lead in Dacoit, replacing Shruti Haasan, caught everyone’s attention. Addressing the change for the first time, Adivi Sesh clarified that there was nothing dramatic about it.
He explained that the decision was taken amicably, citing differences in working styles and Shruti’s packed schedule with Coolie as the reasons. “There was no fuss at all. It happened very smoothly,” he said, putting an end to the speculation and negativity surrounding her exit.
On the film’s progress, Adivi Sesh shared that nearly 60% of the shoot is complete. The team is putting in great effort, even filming certain scenes separately in Telugu and Hindi, sometimes with different actors, to maintain authenticity in both versions. Confident in director Shaneil Deo’s work, he confirmed that G2 is aiming for a Christmas release.
