GV Prakash Kumar and Saindhavi, popular names in Tamil music, have finalised their divorce after 12 years of marriage. The Chennai Family Court completed the process following a six-month cooling-off period.
GV Prakash has agreed that Saindhavi will have custody of their daughter, Anvi, and the couple plans to co-parent amicably. They first became close friends in school, married in 2013, and welcomed Anvi in 2020.
After more than a decade together, they decided to part ways, announcing their separation on May 13, 2024. They even performed together at GV Prakash’s December 2024 concert before filing for divorce in March 2025.
Their mature handling of the split has been admired by fans, who now look forward to seeing more music from both artists.
