Anushka Shetty’s Ghaati, directed by Krrish Jagarlamudi, was supposed to hit the big screens long ago. Very recently, the film was announced for a July 11 release, only to be postponed at the last minute due to pending CGI and other post-production work.
The lack of clarity regarding the release date has disappointed Anushka’s fans. But here’s some good news for all Sweety fans, and it’s indeed a double bonanza. The theatrical trailer of Ghaati will be unveiled on August 6. The icing on the cake is that the new release date will also be announced along with the trailer.
There are reports that the makers of Ghaati are eyeing a September release. We will get the confirmation in a couple of days. Produced by UV Creations and First Frame Entertainments, the movie also stars Tamil actor Vikram Prabhu in a key role. Nagavelli Vidya Sagar is composing the music.
Anushka plays a weed trader in the film. Her role reportedly has dual shades as a victim and a criminal. Amazon Prime Video and Aditya Music have acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights and audio rights, respectively, for a whopping price.
