Gautham Vasudev Menon’s gangster action saga Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu (VTK), starring Simbu in the lead role, was released in theatres in September 2022. The movie mostly received positive reviews and had a decent run in theatres. VTK was released in Telugu as The Life of Muthu. The story didn’t conclude and the makers left a cliffhanger at the end.
However, the sequel never went on floors, and fans wondered about the same. Recently, Gautham Menon revealed the reason for not making the sequel. He said, ” We completed the script work for VTK part 2. But Simbu wanted a big scale for VTK itself, so he was not keen on taking the film forward.”
Gautham Menon added, “After 25 days of VTK’s release, Simbu somehow lost interest, and it has nothing to do with the box office. I believe it is a brilliant two-part film with a solid storyline.” Siddhi Idnani played Simbu’s romantic interest in this flick. Radhika and Neeraj Madhav played crucial roles.
