Marking a powerful return after 14 years, the Telangana government has reinstated its State Film Awards with a new identity, the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards (GTFA), named in honour of the legendary poet and people’s voice, Gaddar. The announcement of winners was made today, with the official ceremony set to take place on June 14, 2025, in Hyderabad.
In addition to unveiling the 2024 awardees, the jury paid tribute to the last decade in Telugu cinema by releasing a curated list of the best films from 2014 to 2023, highlighting stories that left a lasting cultural and emotional impact.
