Leaving the Kannada film industry and I his fans in a huge shock, Sandalwood’s Rebel Star Ambareesh (66) passed away following heart attack at a private hospital in Bengaluru last night. Ambareesh is survived by his wife and former heroine Sumalatha and son Abhishek.
Upon knowing about Ambareesh’s untimely demise, thousands of his fans and several popular South Indian film stars rushed to the Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru. Stars like Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Ravichandran, Prakash Raj, Mohan Babu’s family and many others visited Ambareesh’s mortal remains and bid a tearful goodbye to the veteran star.
Ambareesh’s mortal remains will next be taken to his home town Mandya, before his funeral. PM Narendra Modi and several other national and state leaders expressed deepest condolences on Ambareesh’s death.
