Don and Don 2, headlined by Shah Rukh Khan, were huge money spinners at the box office. The third installment will feature Ranveer Singh as the protagonist, and it marks Farhan Akhtar’s return to direction after a decade. Initially, Kiara Advani was cast as the female lead, but she exited the project due to her pregnancy. Very recently, a few media reports claimed that Sharvari Wagh would play the leading lady.
However, the latest report in Pink Villa states that Kriti Sanon is the front runner to play the female lead. The report mentioned, “Farhan Akhtar and team were looking to cast an experienced actress with a solid screen presence. They opined that Kriti Sanon fits the bill like a hand in glove. She has the aura to play Roma on screen, and is excited to sign the dotted lines soon.”
We need to wait for an official announcement regarding the female lead. It is further said that Don 3 will be largely shot in Europe. The film is expected to commence by October or November this year. At the moment, Farhan Akhtar is busy working on the action part along with international stunt choreographers.
