Globally renowned Tollywood director SS Rajamouli, along with his son SS Karthikeya, visited Japan to promote the documentary RRR: Behind and Beyond, which explores the making of the global blockbuster RRR. Released on April 11, 2025, with Japanese subtitles, the documentary received a fantastic response from local audiences.
Speaking at a media event in front of hundreds of fans, Rajamouli shared that he is looking forward to three upcoming Tollywood films: Ram Charan’s Peddi, Jr NTR’s film with Prashanth Neel (tentatively titled Dragon), and Prabhas’s Spirit.
He praised the recently released teaser of Peddi and spoke highly of its director, Buchi Babu Sana. Rajamouli’s mention of top stars like Ram Charan, Jr NTR, and Prabhas on an international platform was a proud moment for fans.
On the work front, Rajamouli is currently directing a global action adventure starring Mahesh Babu. Two schedules have been completed, and the third will begin soon. The film also stars Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran, though other details are still under wraps.
Tentatively titled SSMB29, the film is expected to release in 2027. Recent reports suggest it will be made as a single-part film. It is produced by KL Narayana, with music composed by MM Keeravani.
