Bholaa Shankar, starring Chiranjeevi and Tamannaah Bhatia, is all set for its grand worldwide theatrical release tomorrow. Meher Ramesh directs this highly-anticipated mega movie.
However, a distributor from Vizag has taken legal action and appealed to the court to halt the release of Bholaa Shankar. The basis for this legal action is complex and involves the film’s producers, who are also associated with the creation of the movie Agent.
To clarify, these producers received Rs. 30 crores from the distributor for the distribution rights across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka. However, they only fulfilled their distribution commitments in Vizag. This discrepancy has left the Vizag distributor dissatisfied.
The distributor claims that the producers had assured him a payment of Rs. 20 crores, either upon Agent’s release or before Bholaa Shankar’s launch. Regrettably, these assurances were not honoured. This situation compelled the distributor to take legal measures.
Consequently, he approached the court, seeking intervention to halt the movie’s release temporarily. The court will hear their arguments today and subsequently determine the course of action.
Bholaa Shankar also features an ensemble cast, including Keerthy Suresh, Sushanth, Vennela Kishore, and Getup Srinu. The film, directed by Meher Ramesh and supported by A K Entertainments, boasts a musical score composed by the talented Mahati Swara Sagar.
