Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly, which was released this year, achieved box-office success. The gangster action drama, directed by Adhik Ravichandran, marked Ajith’s comeback after a few underwhelming films commercially. However, the film was criticised for its story and screenplay. Adhik made the film in such a way that it appealed only to fans, but not to the general audience.
Good Bad Ugly was filled with references throughout, which many perceived as lazy filmmaking. Adhik has now got the opportunity to direct Ajith once again. At a recent award function, the filmmaker promised, “Good Bad Ugly was made only for fans. I will make sure my next film with Ajith sir will entertain everyone.”
Tentatively titled AK64, the film will likely feature Sreeleela in a pivotal role. Mythri Movie Makers, the production house that also produced Good Bad Ugly, will bankroll this project. Anirudh Ravichander has been roped in as the music director.
