In 2018, National Award-winning actor-director duo Dhanush and Vetrimaaran had delivered the cult gangster drama Vada Chennai. A sequel to this iconic blockbuster has been a hot topic among fans and movie lovers for several years.
At a film event in Chennai on Saturday, Vetrimaaran dropped the highly anticipated update on Vada Chennai 2. The acclaimed director said that his next project with popular Tamil star Simbu will commence very soon and that the Vada Chennai sequel with Dhanush will go on floors soon after wrapping up Simbu’s film.
Vetrimaaran’s announcement has put an end to the viral speculations that Simbu has replaced Dhanush in Vada Chennai 2. The first installment had Andrea, Ameer, Kishore, Samuthirakhani, Aishwarya Rajesh, and others in prominent roles. GV Prakash Kumar composed the soundtrack.
