National Award-winning Kollywood star Dhanush will soon be in acclaimed Tollywood filmmaker Sekhar Kammula’s social media, Kuberaa. Also starring Tollywood star Nagarjuna and young actress Rashmika Mandanna, the Shekar Kammula directorial is gearing up for its theatrical release on June 20.
In a latest interview while promoting Kuberaa, the film’s producers, Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao, revealed that Dhanush had given his nod for Kuberaa just 20 minutes into the narration. “After Love Story, Sekhar Kammula pitched this idea to us. He felt that Dhanush would be perfect for the lead role. He always sees stars as characters, not just celebrities,” said the veteran producers.
Kuberaa is an interesting take on social classes that exist in the society. The characters portrayed by Dhanush, Nag, and Rashmika will be quite different and offer a unique and fresh perspective. Devi Sri Prasad’s background score is expected to be a special attraction of Kuberaa.
