Top Tollywood star NTR has stormed the box offices across the world with his recently released action drama, Devara. The film is said to have recovered over 70 percent of its investment in the twin Telugu states, while it is inching closer to the breakeven mark in the USA and other overseas destinations.
The NTR mania is particularly evident in the Nizam region, where the film is setting new records with each passing day. The Koratala Siva directorial, which opened on September 27 with a share of a whopping Rs 19.32 crore, continued its solid run throughout the first weekend.
On Sunday, Devara collected a cool Rs 6.78 crore share at the ticket counters across the Nizam region. The film’s 3-day opening weekend collection totals to Rs 33.04 crore (excl GST). With the weekdays kicking in, it remains to be seen how Devara will perform at the box office.
Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor played lead roles in Devara. The film is produced by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Mikkilineni Sudhakar, and Kosaraju Hari Krishna, and it has a chartbuster soundtrack composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
