Deepika Padukone, who stepped out of two big Tollywood films and signed another one, is back in the news for a rather interesting reason. The actress is now being linked to a ghost role in a new film.
If the ongoing buzz online is anything to go by, the Kalki 2898 AD star might show up as a Bengali ghost named Shaakhchuni in two upcoming movies from Maddock Films. The banner is known for building its Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU), so the idea doesn’t seem too far-fetched.
Reports say the studio has already approached her, and Deepika has asked for the full scripts before deciding. Nothing is locked yet, but the talks seem to be moving ahead.
If this turns out to be true, it could open a new chapter for her as well as the horror-comedy universe Maddock is trying to expand. For now, Deepika is busy with AA22xA6, the Atlee directorial starring Allu Arjun.
