Anupama Parameswaran’s recent and controversial film JSK: Janaki V v/s State of Kerala is back in the spotlight. The Malayalam courtroom drama, also featuring Suresh Gopi in a crucial role, is now set to stream on ZEE5.
After facing several delays and objections from the CBFC, the film finally released in theatres on July 17, 2025. However, it received a mediocre response from both audiences and critics. Now, it heads to OTT in hopes of reaching a broader viewership.
Starting this Independence Day (August 15, 2025), JSK will stream on ZEE5 in multiple languages, Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada, aiming to connect with a pan-Indian audience.
Directed by J. Phanindra Kumar and produced by Cosmos Entertainments, the film also stars Shruthi Ramachandran, Divya Pillai, and Madhav Suresh. Music is composed by Ghibran and Gireesh Narayanan.
With its courtroom setting and controversial themes, it remains to be seen how OTT audiences will respond to JSK: Janaki V v/s State of Kerala in its digital run.
