Ramayana is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious mythological films ever made in Indian cinema. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles and is being made in two parts. It’s back in the spotlight for an exciting reason.
The first-ever World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) kicks off yesterday in Mumbai and will run until May 4, 2025. It’s now confirmed that a teaser of Ramayana will be showcased at the event, likely today or tomorrow. However, it won’t be released to the public just yet, so fans will have to wait a bit longer.
Mounted on a massive budget, the film features Yash as Ravana and is backed by Namit Malhotra’s DNEG along with Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. The music is being composed by AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. The first part is slated for a Diwali 2026 release, with the second arriving the following Diwali.
