Released on May 9, 1990, Megastar Chiranjeevi and legendary diva Sridevi’s iconic film, Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, ended up being a huge blockbuster at the box office. The K Raghavendra Rao directorial is still hailed as a cult classic that redefined the socio-fantasy drama genre on the Telugu silver screen.
JVAS’ makers at Vyjayanthi Movies today announced that the film will be hitting theaters again on May 9, 2025, exactly 35 years since its initial release, in 4K resolution. Interestingly, JVAS will be re-released in the traditional 2D and immersive 3D formats to offer a never-before-seen visual experience of the timeless epic. The 3D conversion work is currently underway at jet speed.
JVAS features a memorable audio album composed by the legendary Ilaiyaraaja. The film also had the Bollywood legend Amrish Puri in a negative role. This much-awaited re-release will give an opportunity to movie lovers to relive the glorious visual extravaganza on the big screens this summer holiday season.
