That Tollywood Megastar Chiranjeevi is a doting brother to Naga Babu and Pawan Kalyan and sisters Vijaya Durga and Madhavi is well known to everyone. However, not everyone knows that Chiru also lost three siblings in his childhood. The actor opened up about this unknown tragedy in a latest interview.

“This makes me emotional whenever I think of it. Amma had lost three children either due to miscarriage or illness. They were just one or two and a half years of age when they lost their lives. When I was in sixth standard, we had a sister named Ramana. Those days, my father used to go out of station often, and Amma alone took care of all of us,” said Chiru.

Chiru went on to say, “My sister Ramana was diagnosed with a brain tumour and passed away in a government hospital. Amma and I brought her dead body in a rickshaw to our home. We didn’t know how to perform the final rites. At that time, our Muslim neighbours helped us with the rituals. By the time Nanna came back after hearing the news, we had completed the final rites.”
