Ram Charan fans were instantly excited when he announced Peddi with Buchi Babu Sana, the filmmaker who delivered the blockbuster Uppena. The hype went up another level when AR Rahman joined the team as composer, and with Sukumar presenting the film, expectations have shot through the roof.
The shoot has been moving quickly, and the team is now ready to drop the first single, “Chikiri.” It is a romantic track composed by AR Rahman and sung by Mohit Chauhan.
The makers shared a video to announce the song. In it, Rahman and Buchi Babu are seen discussing the track, and the director explains that it plays during the hero’s first encounter with the heroine. The video then cuts to Ram Charan grooving to “Chikiri.” Buchi Babu also shared that Chikiri is a playful word the hero uses for his lover in their hometown.
The small glimpse of the tune is catchy and energetic. The full song will be out on November 7, 2025, and Rahman will also perform it live at his concert on November 8, 2025, in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad.
Peddi also brings together a strong cast that includes Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu Sharma and others, with Chammak Chandra and Satya adding comic flavor.
The film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner. The team recently wrapped its Sri Lanka schedule. The next schedule is set to begin soon at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. The film is on track to hit screens worldwide in multiple languages on March 27, 2026.
