Thalapathy Vijay’s last theatrical release will be Jana Nayagan. The action drama directed by H. Vinoth is based on Balakrishna’s superhit Bhagavanth Kesari. The biggie is slated for release on January 9, 2026 during the Pongal season.
The makers initially planned to launch the first song in the first week of October, but due to the recent unfortunate Karur stampede, the musical promotions are said to have been put on hold. The team reportedly felt this isn’t the right time to start the promotions. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music.
Pooja Hegde plays the leading lady, while Mamitha Baiju, Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, Gautham Menon, and others will be seen in supporting roles. Jana Nayagan is bankrolled by Sandalwood banner KVN Productions.
