The action thriller has registered new records in Kerala, and due to the groundbreaking response, the makers reportedly delayed the digital release. The latest info is that Kollywood’s blockbuster Tourist Family will also have a delayed OTT release following Thudarum’s approach.
Jio Hotstar acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of these two films. The makers of Thudarum and Tourist Family have reportedly requested the OTT platform to delay the digital release. According to the initial plan, Thudarum was set to make its OTT debut this week.
On the other hand, Tourist Family’s digital release was scheduled for next week. The word is that these trendsetting films will now release on OTT only in the first week of June. An official announcement is awaited. At the worldwide box office, Thudarum and Tourist Family earned Rs. 225 crores and Rs. 70 crores, respectively.
