It’s well known that Tamil star Chiyaan Vikram will be seen as Karna in the Tamil-Hindi bilingual magnum opus, Mahavir Karna. This ambitious period mythological epic is being made with a whopping budget of Rs 300 crore, making it one of the most expensive films ever made in India.
Today, as a special treat on Vikram’s birthday, Mahavir Karna’s makers launched a short behind-the-scenes video. Vikram looks regal in Karna’s get-up and the grandeur with which the film is being made has raised expectations instantly. The film’s crucial schedule was wrapped up in Hyderabad last year.
RS Vimal is helming Mahavir Karna. The film will be dubbed in 32 Indian and international languages and will get the biggest ever worldwide release for an Indian film. New York-based production house United Film Kingdom is bankrolling this massive project.
