Boyapati Srinu is constantly criticized for the over-the-top scenes in his movies. Even his hit films faced criticism regarding this aspect. In a recent interview, the director shared his thoughts about such scenes. Boyapati Srinu said, “Cinema is nothing but an imagination. Let’s give wings to our imagination and not restrict our thought process.”

Boyapati Srinu continued, “If you talk about logic, then films shouldn’t have songs in public places. Because it is not possible in real life. If I design a fight sequence normally, the impact wouldn’t be effective. I will make the audience understand that my heroes are very powerful, and hence, the fight sequences will fit into the narrative.”

Regarding Skanda, a few opined that Boyapati Srinu went overboard with the way he designed the characters of the two states’ Chief Ministers. Boyapati said, “If some ordinary man abducts the daughter of a Chief Minister, it is questionable. But in Skanda, my hero is no less than the antagonists. Don’t see the villains as Chief Ministers. My intention is to depict them as powerful people.”
