Ever since the sudden demise of Sushanth Singh happened, the Hindi film industry was being targetted big time by the general audience. Also thanks to Covid, even the big hero films were flopping one after the other.
The big stars had no option but to also choose OTT releases to be in a safe zone. At such a time and when everyone said that the Hindi cinema is over, Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan’s Zara Hatke Zara Bachke came out and made over 80 crores at the box office.
The trend continued as Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani also grossed over 120 crores at the box office. This momentum continued as Gadar 2 is seeing a solid opening and will make close to 40 crores on day one.
The other Friday release, OMG 2 has also opened on a strong note. As it is the Independence Day long weekend, both these films will score big at the box office in the days to come.
Seeing this, one can say that Bollywood is well and truly back on track and is back to making big money. This once again proves that if the content and songs in the film are good, the audience will surely get back to the theatres.
