Ajay Devgn has given a cracker of a blockbuster, Drishyam 2, which earned more than 230 crores net. At a time, the Hindi films are struggling to perform well, Ajay has displayed his box office rage. His long-delayed film Maidaan, a biological sports drama, was supposed to hit the screens on February 17.
But now the film has been postponed at the request of the actor. According to the Bollywood media, Ajay Devgn opined that a movie like Maidaan needed a long run without much competition. Hence, he requested producer Boney Kapoor to defer the release. The film got multiple postponements, and the interesting fact is that it was supposed to release alongside RRR once.
Then the pandemic came in, which eventually caused the postponement. A few months earlier, the film was again delayed due to the VFX works. Maidaan is directed by Amit Sharma and has Priyamani in an important role. The new release date will be announced soon. Ajay Devgn’s next release will be Bholaa in March.
