Despite earlier claims suggesting that Hari Hara Veera Mallu is inspired by a legendary folk hero, inside reports reveal a different picture. The film, headlined by Pawan Kalyan, is a fictional narrative centered around a revered figure who safeguards Sanatana Dharma. After director A.M. Jyothi Krishna took charge of the project, the storyline underwent a complete overhaul.

While maintaining its core spirit, Jyothi Krishna reshaped the tale into something fresh and spiritually symbolic. According to sources, just like how Ayyappa Swamy is described as the son of Shiva and Mohini (female form of Lord Vishnu) — representing a bridge between Shaivism and Vaishnavism — Hari Hara Veera Mallu too is an incarnation of Lord Shiva and Vishnu.

The title Hari (Vishnu) Hara (Shiva) conveys the essence of the film. To further strengthen their narrative, the filmmakers used elements like the Eagle, a representation of Garuda, the mythical bird and vahana of Lord Vishnu. Additionally, the protagonist holds a Damarukam in his hands, signifying Lord Shiva. The protagonist in the film appears as a manifestation of Lord Shiva and Vishnu, protecting and fighting for Dharma.

Backed by veteran producer A.M. Rathnam, the film has been mounted on a grand scale. Interestingly, AM Rathnam refrained from selling most distribution rights early, except for overseas and Hindi territories. Following the massive response to the trailer, several distributors are lining up with impressive offers, eager to acquire the rights at a premium.

Pawan Kalyan will be seen in a never-before-seen avatar as the formidable rebel Veera Mallu, a fearless outlaw who challenges the authority of the Mughal empire. The film is directed by A.M. Jyothi Krishna, who is passionately steering this ambitious project, with Krish Jagarlamudi contributing creatively behind the scenes. Post-production is currently in full swing, with each frame being carefully refined to offer a cinematic spectacle.
